PostSubject: In my humble opinion   In my humble opinion EmptyMon Jul 25, 2011 5:09 am

Firstly, I'd like to say, I would be perfectly respectful of your wishes if either of us were contacted and requested to tone down the content of the topic. (We are both easilly contacted via PM or on the chat box, which we were on for several hours earlier tonight.) However, as I am currently aware neither of us were directly contacted, I myself only learned of your ...opinion.... on the topic through a friend of mine who had been on the chatbox at the time. Now, I pride myself in being rather reasonable, if we had been informed we could have gladly edited the topic to your 'standards'.

Further, I'd like to state that we went on with the subject matter and content of this with the understanding that their was no rating listed within the rules contained in the 'GUIDEBOOK OF WIZARDRY' nor anywhere where else on the site that I was able to locate. In addition, after a discussion between Avelina and myself (a day or so previous to the start of the topic), she did ask on the chatbox what the rating of the site and she was told it was an adult rating, thus having checked with the rules and staff/site members we went on and posted on our topic throught the day. Now, after the five posts into the topic [meaning the five posts being the only ones containing the offending content I assume] and several hours after, the staff displays their 'opinion' on the topic? Whilst I myself have no problem with displaying one's opinion, it is however the manner in which the opinion was displayed and further represented on the site itself that prompts me to write this.

Avelina did our best to apease to the site members and/or staff rules and abided with what we were told or read in the rules. Given that there was no clear rule on rating listed in the rule topic [something that in the opinion of many, should be included, as it is a rather important guideline to the site] we asked the chatbox which was inhabited with many people at the time, so forgive me if I am unable to remember who responded and were informed of the rating [as mentioned above]. Now the posts made after ours as well as some actions made in the chatbox are what I find rather discomforting. However, I continue.

First I would like to point out the second paragraph of the first post within the HP RULEBOOK, the first rule listed under "THE RULES" of the same topic and finally the last statment in the "MEMBER REQUIREMENTS". All of which I will directly quote below:

I will first say my next statement directly involves this:

SECONDLY, i'm done with the drama. Any other site I'd be more than happy to take you up on a challenge to out troll any troll, but not here. Anything of the sort won't even be responded to, simply removed from the site. I've cleared the banned list, and seeing as this site is starting over (read more below), I feel that everyone should start over, too. HP is not the place for drama - I love this site too much, and whatever beef you have specifically with me, don't let it involve my site or staff members. You have my MSN. At least the majority of you do. Anyone may join, maybe things can work out differently - so long as you're here to rp and have fun, it can stay that way.
and this:

STAFF is required to be fair, honest, and mature. They are required to listen to the members firstly, and do their best to accommodate their needs. Staff is required to remain active, and remain of the last members active, even if the site is collapsing and dying (which we hope will not happen).

Now, I work under the assumption that the site owner both wrote and comprehends these statements as they were posted under his name. I would also like to point out that it was the aforementioned site owner as well as a moderator who posted two trolling images onto the said topic. Now it is my understanding that trolling is done in an attempt to provoke and emotional response which in turn creates drama. Now further the actions and words of the staff on the topic and or in the chatbox are in truth immature, meaning the site's own staff violated two of their rules. From what was relayed to me, I can assume their was bashing on the CB, which leads me into the third issue,

o1 don't be a jerk. don't pick fun at others and isolate them and just be total douchebags. it's rude and inconsiderate, and as soon as we see it we'll warn you. if you keep it up we will ban you. we're not here to be cyberbullies.
Now, a certain amount of this behavior I understand..we are after all, on the internet and a lot of us tend to do or say things we wouldnt normally do. However, the words spoken on the chatbox and the images posted with in the thread in my opinion and the opinion of several others who had joined the site with me, voilate this the 3 rules listed above.

Now I'd like to say that I had [yes past tense] written this with the attempt to present issues I had found with the staf and/or rules of the site, only following the second member requirement due diligence. I had [past tense again] intended to continue to be friendly and roleplay on the site with no issue once this matter had been resolved. However, after writing a large majority of this, I only discovered that the entire topic was deleted [or perhaps moved to where it cannot be seen by a member such as me, I dont know]. And it was further deleted without contacting myself or perhaps even Avelina [one of the two members within the thread] who's right it is to know the reasons behind it's deletion. Which should have been discussed with the two of us via some manner of contact prior to the posting of the pictures and the thread's deletion. [As is the staff etiquette on any site I have ever previously been on or part of the staff itself(which has been several)].

I understand if the entire issue were solely based of a misunderstanding of the vague rules and the information we were fed by the members on the chatbox. However it is not, the misinformation that I find is an issue, it is the immature and distasteful acts of the staff without shown reason. I had thought my friends and I had found a HP site we had truly liked, yet once again we find the site inadequate [this time for the reasons in relation to the staff as mention] which saddens me because it seemed this site was full of potential.

If the content of the topic is such an issue of the staff is not the description of your staff lounge hypocritical?
After all it does seem to be filled with the same content as our topic, but I digress.

A few days ago, I go into the toilets. Tony and Gary were in there, they're butt-naked. Tony has Gary by his hair, and he's just doing him, doggy-style. And Tony's like "Awh, who's your daddy? I'm your daddy! I'm big daddy! Awh, awh yeah you like that? Awh, mmfph, awh, awh, awh oh ya! oh ya! oh yeaaah! I'm daddy cooool!" So I'm guessing they've ran away to continue their illicit homosexual affair. And in this world of intolerance, who are we to condemn them?

But what's done is done, but I will leave saying one last thing, in fact your own words, which I find relate very well to this situation and are a very fitting ending statement.

In this world of intolerance, who are we to condemn them
