'The Power of a Name.'

Given Name:
Hiroshi | 寛
    Hiroshi is a masculine Japanese given name with multiple meanings, dependent on the characters used. 裕 means "abundant". 寛 means "generous, tolerant" and 浩 means "prosperous."


Surname:
Tetsuo | 哲雄
    Tetsuo is a masculine Japanese name meaning "wise hero" 哲雄 or "wise man." 哲夫.


Nara | 奈良一族
    The Nara clan (奈良一族, Nara Ichizoku) or Nara family (奈良家, Nara-ke) is known for their intelligence, ninjutsu that entails the manipulation of shadows, and tending of deer such as Rikumaru, which graze in a large area of the Nara clan forest.


Uchiha | うちは
    Uchiha is another way of pronouncing "uchiwa" (団扇, fan), which is the Uchiha clan symbol. Uchiwa can be used to fan flames, making the flame hotter — referring to the fact that the Uchiha is a clan of fire techniques users.

Tetsuo, Hiroshi | 寛哲雄
    Hiroshi's first and only real alias and further the only one that has carried some degree of renown through much of his life as a Shinobi. Initially he simply created the false identity as a means to mask the surname he was given at birth and by extension hide his clan abilities. Although the masquerade is meager at best, there are many who believe this to be the male's true name, even after the recent events in which he ascended to the position of Mizukage.

    Having recently ascended to the highest position of leadership in Kirigakure, Hiroshi is known as the Yondaime Mizukage, literally meaning "Fourth Water Shadow".


Kage Boushin | 影兵家
    Literally meaning 'Shadow Tactician', Boushin was a renown title given to Hiroshi during his tenure in the Oinin Butai, a key reference to his tactical abilities and his strategic mindset for both life and combat. Although this title was bestowed upon him during his days as a soldier of the Kirigakure Black Ops group, it became used heavily as the male ascended to the position of leadership over the group of Hunter-Nin.


The Shadow of Oinin Butai |死相 追い忍部隊
    Although this is still considered a renown title, it begins to transcend into a more social title given to Hiroshi by his squad mates during his tenure as a member of Oinin Butai. Its origins stem from a joke brought on by a now deceased squad mate, obviously referencing the male's skills with the pseudo-Nara clan techniques, but after some time it became another piece of his Bingo Book entry as legends of his exploits grew.


The Red Sage of the Nara Clan | 奈良家哲人
    Despite his dissension away from the structure of the Nara Clan and his inherent unwillingness to be part of the clan, which had caused some hostility between Hiroshi and the rest of his clan he has still become known as the Red Sage of the Nara clan, a renown title which does well to depict the prestigious nature of the Shinobi. The reason for this is not simply as a result of his unprecedented skill with his own variants of his clan techniques but also because of his extensive knowledge and tactical abilities, both of which are highly honoured traits within the Nara Clan.


'The Power of Perception.'

Physical:
    Although he professes himself to be a man of both humble origin, it is difficult for many not to be rather intimidated when first being approaching Hiroshi, even if that is never his intention. The man stands at an impressive height of four inches passed the six-foot mark [6'4" | 193.04cm], almost towering over a great deal of the populace of the village in which he makes his home. Although he is quite honestly far older than many Shinobi, both within Kirigakure no Sato and otherwise, Hiroshi is nothing if not in the peak of his physical condition. Not only does his height allow him a great deal of intimidation, but it is only accentuated by his naturally quite broad build.

    With certain ideologies beaten into his head from a young age, Hiroshi lives and trains under the guidance of one simple idea, his body is his temple. Although it might be taken as a more defining aspect of his personality or being as a whole, it relates to his physicality. From the very beginning stages of his Shinobi training, Hiroshi built up the discipline to train his body to the highest degree disregarding the preconceived conceptions about the physical requirements of his chosen specialities.

    Although he did not choose to devote his life to the study of Taijutsu, thereby exceeding beyond the basic levels of combat martial arts taught in the Shinobi Academy, Hiroshi has always admired those that devote their lives to the more physical arts and thus by extension always sought to mimic their very intensive training routines. With that in mind it is easy to say that Martial Arts have truly been a major influence in Hiroshi's life even if it was not either of his initial focuses of study. As a direct result of his fascination and inspiration, his body does appear to be quite indicative of the standard 'temple' that is a key point of his philosophy towards his physical body.

    Despite his age, the years of intense training have presented Hiroshi's tall and broad form with a well defined armor of muscle. Indeed his physique has been exceptionally-sculpted and well-defined musculature honed from years of enthusiastic physical training to such an extent that it is even quite apparent underneath his uniform or other clothing, giving whatever clothes he chooses to wear the appearance that they might tear if he were to flex in any sort of extensive manner. Although this is not quite something he actually prefers to do.

    Because of both his natural frame and training, Hiroshi is left with a tall and wide frame which is largely different from the lean musculature of your standard martial artist, with his own build being more akin to that of an impressive weightlifter, but still differing in terms of sheer bulk, but rather as the uncontrollable results of his natural bodily shape. Despite his size however, the intimidating male has made sure not to sacrifice any of his inherent speed, using the power within his large form to substitute for the lightness that might be gifted to a smaller opponent.

    That being said, as his age has risen, although doing little to dictate a decrease in his skills, Hiroshi has begun to feign the appearance of weakness whenever he is under the perceptions of others, including the general populous of the village and a large majority of the Shinobi under his command. Proclaiming that his limp is the result of an old war wound, the elder Shinobi looks far less intimidating when walking with a cane.

    Although his body does little to depict himself as such, Hiroshi's face to some degree betrays his natural age to some minor extent. Around his green eyes there exists some small indication of wrinkles, the likes of which are mirrored on his forehead as the result of the sheer amount of stress and strain that comes with the life of a Shinobi. Beyond that the elder Shinobi honestly shows little signs of the fact that he is slowly approaching old age (even if he insists he is only nearing forty.) Beyond the small indicator wrinkles, Hiroshi is marked by having a strongly edged face, which is outlined, but not softened by his facial hair.

    Although his face in general might only give the slightest of indications to reveal his age, Hiroshi has oft been told that the years of his life are often reflected in his dark green eyes, much like the rings inside a tree.Whilst they are primarily green in color, their hue has been known to shift the slightest at times, ranging from their natural dark, almost forest green, to a slightly lighter hue, but regardless of the color it is often quite easy to tell the hardships of Hiroshi's life simply by taking note of the tiredness held within his eyes. Yet it should be noted that this is not the only thing such eyes might reflect as they are often kind or calm, or perhaps as more of a rarity quite harsh and cold.

    Beyond the stern depiction of his face, Hiroshi is most noticeable by the long straight black hair which he has grown over the years. Matching the same hue of both his eyebrows and facial hair, it extends well past his shoulders, reaching presently to the center of his back. That being said, the elder male, despises having his long hair free to get in his way and about so as a result he wears it most often in tightly bound ponytail, yet despite his best efforts two or three loose strands of his thick hair often fall over his brow. He sports a full Donegal-style beard on his square jaw, only slightly easing the hard edges of his facial structure, the Donegal-style is a particular style of facial hair that grows along the jawline and covers the chin completely.

    With all the factors in mind, Hiroshi is often seen as a very handsome man, indeed it was how he initially attracted his late wife, but even despite the fact of his marriage, he does not really see himself as an attractive type and often entirely overlooks the idea of his own physical attractiveness entirely. In this one manner of many, he is entirely unlike his predecessor.

Attire:
    As noted by his own humble nature, Hiroshi is hardly a man of pride and it is those aspects of his personality that are reflected into his choices of clothing. Indeed this presents as a further degree of difference between himself and his predecessor the Sandaime Mizukage. Where Inoshi seemed always to embellish himself in the most extravagant and expensive of fabrics, Hiroshi without giving his clothing much consideration dons the type of clothing that seems as if could be bought for some meager sum at a local thrift store. Additionally, although he needs them for no apparent medical reason, Hiroshi wears a pair of sturdy glasses, simply as a matter of vanity as he likes the way they seem to suit his face.

    Most commonly he is likely to adorn himself with a a white dress shirt and tie under a black vest with matching slacks and a simple but worn brown overcoat. In many ways, this style of dress makes him stand out when coupled with his impressive stature, but at the same time, those who witness him in such clothing often overlook him or view him as a commoner of sorts among the populous of Kirigakure no Sato. As stated before, much of Hiroshi's common wear is marred by its tattered and worn appearance despite his position of authority and general excess of available funds. Indeed the white dress shirt and black sacks are the only part of his more common wear that tend to appear as if they are of a more expensive background, with the shirt having not a single stain as a result of the expensive fabric at the time of its initial purchase and the slacks being of the same characteristics. Beyond that, all of his garments show their age in the faded aspect of their once more vivid coloring.

    Considering his common wear and more so his reasoning behind his choices of clothing, it is quite unsurprising that Hiroshi would likely don much of the same style and condition of clothing when taking his place at a formal occasion, at least in the past. In the present however, due in part because of a need to control the village's perception and in part to a number of protests from the Village council, Hiroshi will now begrudgingly adorn himself with a more expensive suit, albeit still retaining a similar style. A crisp, new and expensive white dress shirt with a high collar. A black vest and pair of slacks made in the same style and color, with his entire outfit accentuated by his only expensive and nice looking tie. In this style of dress, the most notable change is the fact that his old and tattered brown overcoat is done away with and he embellishes himself with a brand new black overcoat with a high collar.

    Amusingly enough, and perhaps having its own roots in his simple tastes, Hiroshi quite honestly despises the overly fanciful traditional Mizukage outfit. Up to this point he has entirely refused to don the very fine silk robe with the Kirigakure no Sato imprint in black and a decoration of a dark blue trim to stand as symbolic representation to the colors of the village. To top it all off there is also the formal Kage head wear which Hiroshi absolutely detests.

    In terms of battle or training, Hiroshi's style of dress differs very little from his normal or casual wear. Now a great deal of people have argued that his choice of clothing is not practical for a Shinobi, but the elder Shinobi is well aware of their arguments and has made adjustments to account for this. Obviously, a Ninja no matter what the occasion or clothing should never be without the tools of their trade; because of this, Hiroshi as sewn a numerous number of hidden pouches and pockets into such suits and jackets to hold his items without making them obvious to an observer or opponent. Now, because he obviously does not expect to go without ever fighting he has made further preparations, hidden within his common clothes. Beneath his dress shirt he always adorns a tank top of varying shades, which will allow him to remove his less battle appropriate battle clothing if ever he found it inhibiting. Additionally, he always adorns a protective wrap covering his knuckles and forearms, even when dressed for a formal occasion.

Forehead Protector:
    At the present time Hiroshi does not don his Hitai-ate. In fact, he has quite honestly refused to wear said Hitai-ate for much of the past several years in Kirigakure. There are a few minor reasons for this, the bulk of which revolve in a simple matter of keeping his identity rather masked. However, the key reason is one that was often seen as quite controversial within the ranks of the village. A number of years ago, around the same time as Inoshi, the Sandaime Mizukage rose to power, Hiroshi refused to don a headband or indeed any gear which might denote the Kirigakure symbol as he believed at the time and indeed his belief only furthered as time went on, that Inoshi was entirely the wrong choice for the betterment of the village. This ideology to some degree continued on even when Inoshi's reign of failure was passed and Hiroshi stepped forward to assume the title of Mizukage. He still believes that to don a village Hitai-ate denotes a degree of both pride and patriotism in the Hidden Village that should not be the primary concern of a Shinobi's lifestyle and interactions.

    In his youth and indeed during a large portion of his life as a Shinobi over the span of his first two decades of life, it was entirely too common for Hiroshi to don his headband in the standard place just on his forehead, edged just slightly into his hairline as it simply seemed the most logical place to the relatively simple man. During his tenure as a member of the Oinin Butai, the Kirigakure Black Ops, his headband was replaced by his Hunter-Nin Mask which in turn was adorned with the symbol of Kirigakure carved into a position on the forehead of the mask. As mentioned above, after his tenure in the Oinin Butai, Hiroshi returned the Hitai-ate to the same placement as he wore in the past, on his forehead. It was during his tenure as leader of the Oinin Butai, the same time in which Inoshi initially rose to power that Hiroshi stopped and subsequently refused to don his forehead protector, which as said above is a habit that extends to the present day.

'The Power of the Mind.'

PERSONALITY:
    As one might expect from a man of his age and status, Hiroshi is a man of many sides or facets. Much like anyone else, someone who has known him all of his life would have a largely different perspective on his personality than someone who had only known him for all of five minutes. Those who knew Hiroshi throughout the span of his life will have a different perspective on his motives and nature than someone who knew him solely during his stint in Kirigakure no Sato's Oinin Butai. Where the former might see him as the kind and skillful man that they believe him to be, the latter might see him as a man who specializes in manipulation, strategy and most importantly is able to kill without sign of remorse. As did any point of his life, many points of Hiroshi's personality are reliant on some degree of perception and no small amount of misdirection or manipulation. As a man of many names, he is also a man of many perceptions and as such if one is indeed attempting to gleam any form of aeterna veritas or eternal truth about Hiroshi, they will likely find themselves entirely disappointed.

    Chronologically, someone who knew the male Shinobi during the more formative years of his youth would likely tell you that the first and most prominent of the Shinobi would be his seemingly natural intrigue with the world around him. To put it from the perspective of the adults who raised him, Hiroshi was a nightmare as a child. From the earliest stages in his youth, the young male pushed his nose and indeed the whole of his being into everything he found, taking some varying degree of interest and by extension fascination with everything he found. This curiosity only exploded around the time that Hiroshi turned four, the same year during which he learned to read. From that moment onward he devoured every ounce of knowledge from every written text he could get in his hands. This fact, when doubled with the naturally overflowing curiosity and general nosy nature of an early youth, often got the young male into more trouble than he was prepared to deal with as he was constantly sticking his nose any place, many of them being exactly where it did not belong, just to learn more of the world surrounding him. This general troublesome nature had not left the elder male entirely as he has grown older, but he has certainly developed the discipline required to better leash his curiosity. That being said, with his age Hiroshi has turned much of his curiosity inward to some extent. As such, while he still is vastly curious, still reading and devouring every piece of knowledge that crosses his path, Hiroshi has turned his curiosity to the elements of both his mind and the mind of others, attempting to gleam the true nature of people as a whole. With his vast repertoire of knowledge at his disposal, it becomes quite obvious that Hiroshi is well versed in areas ranging from art to village politics and is what one might call a jack of all trades.

    As much of the above information about Hiroshi reveals and indeed, his inherent genetics also give the same assumption, the elder male is remarkably intelligent. Well, he is as intelligent as subjectivism will allow. That is to say, whilst he might largely be perceived as being more intelligent than the common man, he is well aware that there are a number of different facets to intelligence and endeavours to contain his egoism and arrogance, opting instead for an atmosphere of humility. Whilst he is bastard child of the Nara clan, members of whom are often well regarded and renown as a group of high intellectual thinkers or even geniuses, Hiroshi does his best to accept the possibility of his own faults and act not out of arrogance brought on by his mental heritage, but out of humility. That being said, like many a member of his clan, Hiroshi is believed to possess an IQ score close to the two-hundredth point; however, as a person of rational judgement, he puts little stock in such tests given that their ability to gauge intelligence is incredibly limiting and relies only on set factors of perception. That is to say, whilst he might be able to recall any number of passages from any number of books he has read in his life, he would no more be able to tame a horse if you so asked him to do so. At the end of the day, all of Hiroshi's supposed intelligence is subjective to a number of main foci.

    The first of these areas as one might expect from a child of the Nara clan, is strategy. Even during his disparaging youth Hiroshi demonstrated, like many children of his father's clan,to have an excellent mind for any sort of puzzle that he put the full force of his thought behind. As is almost trademarked by members of the Nara-ke even during his early youth he displayed superb problem solving skills, clearly demonstrating an unprecedented ability to think both quickly and practically while on his feet. Although he was raised away from the bulk of his clan, through a series of tests his father believed that his strategical abilities were far beyond those of an equal age within the rest of the clan. Despite not initially being set towards becoming a Shinobi, this skill set only served to clearly benefit his potential as he moved his way through the Shinobi Academy of Kirigakure no Sato. Since then he has used his extraordinary mental abilities to rise through the ranks of a Shinobi, serving as a tactical Captain within Oinin Butai and eventually as leader of the said Black Ops faction.

    By extension of this aforementioned strategic thinking ability, Hiroshi is exceptionally fond of all sorts of puzzles, be them 'simple' logic problems, number oriented conundrums or word games, their subject doesn't matter. This soft addiction began in his youth as a coping method for his frequent boredom and time has only made this habit of his a bit more excessive. Once acquiring a new type of puzzle, Hiroshi will often devote a largely ridiculous amount of time in attempt to solve said puzzle only to throw it aside as soon as the element of intrigue has faded. However, no matter how many times he plays against them, Hiroshi will always enjoy any type of strategy board game, from Chess, Go or Shogi. It is this 'hobby' of his that when coupled with the responsibilities of the Shinobi lifestyle that perhaps functioned as a gateway into the elder Nara's next area of focus.

    Whilst it is to some degree a required facet of a Shinobi's lifestyle for one to delve into the art of psychology, Hiroshi has taken his natural intelligence, his surplus of curiosity and his general life experience and in some ways made the study of the people around him his life's work. As all Shinobi must learn to see 'underneath the underneath', that is to say, see the illusion or deception in the actions, words and lives of others, Hiroshi had made it his goal in every social interaction to attempt to understand or gleam the true motives of every person he meets. To do so, he believes, allows him a fair degree of both control and protection from said person, allowing him to plot and strategize for any foreseeable complications. This developed skill of course served him exponentially in his days as a member of the Oinin Butai and has also allowed him to maintain an expert level of control over his own actions as a direct repercussion. In a way he views human interaction as a puzzle to solve and by extension has learned that it only serves to his benefit if he does his best to maintain a facade of his own actions and motives, thus making himself a puzzle for his opponents to solve. A skill which serves well both in combat and political situations.

    As a direct extension of this former aspect of the elder Shinobi's personality and a result of his self education that has gifted Hiroshi with an impressive and diplomatic ability. Despite his total lack of charm in most social situations (to the extent that he is highly likely to make an idiot of himself at any given time specifically in more intimate occasions) he has always been a very charismatic person. Although this aspect of his personality presents itself as an oddity from his day to day actions, when speaking in any form of official fashion, he does so with a manner of eloquence and more importantly confidence that is almost always missing from his normal persona. Coupling this with his ability to read people and his own intellect Hiroshi has always found himself to be the perfect type for any form of diplomatic discussion, if only because he will always attempt to leave his ego at the door so to speak.

    That being said, despite his preference for a more peaceful course of actions (something that does well to set him apart from his predecessor) Hiroshi is not above using more underhanded means to get to the most opportune solution of a situation. Given his immense study in people and more importantly his background of misdirection, it comes with no surprise that the elder Shinobi is more than capable of employing various means of manipulation to get what he wants. That being said, being the type of person he is, he will most often only take this route if he believes the situation is entirely needed for his allocentric view of the 'greater good'. He would much rather focus on the ability to reason with his diplomatic opponents and adhere to the best outcome of the situation than resort to his more than capable methods of trickery.

    With the above in mind, one might not be so surprised to learn of Hiroshi's preference for pacifism. This is not to say that he exists as a 'militant pacifist' for lack of a better term, but rather he views actions of violence or war as a last resort. Although many might argue that for such a quality to exist within a Shinobi would be a sign of weakness, the elder male views it as quite the opposite. Although he can see the need for an amassing of power and by extension a sizable military force, he believes inherently that one should first use their mental capacity to solve a problem before resorting to any form of physical confrontation. This aspect of his personality might own up to the strategic and mental exercises of his youth in the Nara clan and being around their natural inclinations to avoid situations of any strenuous nature, thus thinking through their problems to the Nth degree. With that being said, Hiroshi does see the wisdom in a display of force, but will always shy away from it unless such a situation is entirely needed to advance his intentions.

    Given his pacifistic tendency, one might expect Hiroshi to be marred or weakened by an inherent goodly nature, a need to seem kind, to be considerate and compassionate about the well being of others, but truthfully that is not the case. In light of his past experience in the Oinin Butai and subsequently the death of his wife, Hiroshi has become far more cruel in an internal aspect than he was in the past. This is not say that he acts with the unprecedented cruelty of the past rulers of Kirigakure no Sato, but rather he does not to the same degree as he might have in the past, see the world as a place of 'good' in the morally black and white viewpoint. Although he carries himself outwardly in an amiable manner, appearing to be kind to the general populous of the village and indeed his actions might befit a benevolent leader, he does not feel such a level of compassion for the people around him as he once might have. He is marred by the experience of his past and although his philosophies are of good intent, he lacks the moral introspection and inherent optimism of his youth and there are times where his actions will reflect as such.

    Despite the deeds and actions of his life and as a direct opposite to his predecessor, Hiroshi is not a man blinded or bound by his own ego or self-importance unlike Inoshi. Although it is true that he sought out life as a Shinobi, finding it the best place for him to test his skills, he did so not out of avarice, but rather out of servitude. He believed then, much as he does now that one must always live their life in servitude of something and that a true form of independence breeds a form of negative anarchy. Throughout his life he has attempted to always act in a humble manner, never preaching of his own strength, nor taking an unhealthy amount of pride in his own actions. There have been many who have said that the male, throughout his lifetime, has consistently underestimated himself. However, Hiroshi has always believed that strength, much like intelligence is often found more in those who adhere to their own faults rather than those who bring praise to their own self importance. He holds no illusions about his own abilities, but bearing that in mind, he does not initially place his own skill on a level above those around him.

    To this degree, Hiroshi has lived a large portion of his life in such a manner that through his excessive humility, he does not draw attention to himself hardly ever. Characterized in part by the initial shyness of youth and the slight level of nurtured un-ambition he has not actively sought out a position of power, but always worked his way through the ranks in a manner to reach them, more often then not, with them being thrust upon him rather than him adhering to his own arrogance and claiming that it is something that he deserves out of a misguided sense of entitlement. To this end many might initially perceive the male not as humble, but rather as more of a wallflower, but he rather enjoys this ability to remain unnoticed, a fly on a wall if you will, for it allows him a fair degree of freedom from the infamy and reputation that follow many Shinobi.

    Although the above only serves to shed a small amount of light on the personality of the Yondaime Mizukage, it gives enough information to see that he is quite an enigma and indeed at first glance, quite an oddity of a man for a member of the 'ruling class'. Renown by his intelligence but modest in his ability, Hiroshi is a man who is complex, but also filled with a vast amount of determination which he directs to his cause. Where he may be blunt or even cold-hearted he also has great potential for compassion and where he acts with modesty he holds a great strength. As a man who has pledged his life and in fairness, his chance at happiness to the service of Kirigakure no Sato he is determined to act well upon his title, but whether or not his mentality becomes his downfall, only time will tell.

As a man of many façades and many more obligations, to define him so cleanly within one set group or another would create the most ill perceived picture of his moral scope imaginable. Whilst throughout the course of his life Hiroshi has done his best to serve the Village of Kirigakure, he does not act under the intent to bring his 'home' a greater authority or level of power. Nor, through his allegiance and actions within the the Creed, does he act within the bounds of a more lawful standpoint, to which it becomes clear that to depict him in any set 'lawful' alignment is in fact ill suited. Whilst he may serve the 'law' or act as a leader or figurehead to the authority of the village, it is not truly the established order that he seeks to serve. Hiroshi's only adherence to an ideology of order is in his intent to maintain a balance to the realm. He believes that power should be diverse, if too much of it is held within the grasp of one man or woman then it creates room for corruption. Yet, on the same scheme of things, he does little adhere to the idea of chaos, for it too creates a disparity for equality and allows for a 'he who holds the bigger stick' type of mentality. That being said, although he holds the 'power' of Kirigakure, he does not adhere to his own authority and seeks instead to only act as a guiding force, an engineer for society if you will.

    That being said, the moral ethos that guides his actions is far too flexible to be classed as good, but far too well-intentioned for it it be benefiting of a more evil label. He acts as he believes he is best able to in every situation, bearing in mind as many facets of the said situation as he is able before committing to one course of action or another. Above all else, Hiroshi places the value of the realm itself above his own personal conquests or moral adjudication. In this sense he should be viewed as 'morally grey', but perhaps always 'good' in his intent. However, as they say, good intentions pave the way to hell. With a strict personal code, Hiroshi always endeavours to act in a way that shall not leave him in a disparity of moral consequence, in most actions or situations he will act in a manner that can be perceived as morally 'good'. However, that does not mean that he is squeamish in regards to acting in a more objective moral manner if he must, but it always must be for the 'greater good' or balance of the realm itself.

Attitude Towards Combat:
    When considering his combat style, one must keep several key details about Hiroshi in their mind. The first is his Uchiha Heritage and by extension his bloodline ability the Sharingan which is his best kept secret. The second is his more obvious Nara 'heritage' which through means of clever illusions, he has maintained a long standing guise of actually belonging to said clan. On top of these two prime factors one must also consider Hiroshi's generally peaceful nature and inherent preference towards act of pacifism. He is not a man who prefers to adhere to violence unless it is entirely necessary in the situation, which, by extension means he will most often opt for a more diplomatic solution to a situation before resorting to means of physical confrontation. That being said, such a personal ideology does not mean he is not aptly prepared to deal with combat in his own personalized manner. With that in mind, Hiroshi's skills in regards to each area of combat focus shall be dictated and explained below.


Attitude in Combat:
    As a large degree of his life has been geared almost entirely towards acts of misdirection to maintain the illusion of his heritage so it comes as no surprise that such an attitude would also divulge itself into his general antics and attitude within combat. Whilst he often tries to create a perception of himself that would give others room to underestimate him in some form or another, those who have fought Hiroshi on a serious field of combat will quite quickly learn otherwise. Given that much of his youth was spent under the guidance of the Nara clan, it comes as no surprise that he specializes in maintaining a strategic mindset towards combat at all times. When one couples this with the abilities brought on by his Uchiha heritage, it becomes quite clear as to why Hiroshi should be seen as a dangerous opponent.

    As he has been indoctrinated with the traits of the Nara clan as a result of his youth, the elder Shinobi is an avid player of games and puzzles of any sort, which only served as a helpful additive when in his youth, he was first exposed to combat. That being said, he is not a man who believes that it is necessary to be one hundred steps ahead of your opponent at any given time in combat. However, one should not take this to mean that Hiroshi does not plan ahead in combat, in fact he does so quite well, but he has found more often than not that if you plan too far ahead it becomes far too easy for the slightest miscalculation to throw a wrench in your entire strategy. Instead he prefers to, whilst still planning ahead to a certain degree, utilize his own strengths to exploit the weaknesses of his opponents. As such, combat was less about his skill and more about the lack of skill presented by his opponent, thus he bears this in mind when adapting his skill set, choosing to create as many situations in which his opponent might slip up as possible.

    Further, Hiroshi has adapted an attitude that thrives upon always having the advantage when he is able. To wait until both combatants are ready and take part in a fair fight, Hiroshi had learned throughout his life, greatly decreases your chance for victory. Whilst you cannot know every skill of your opponent and even worse you cannot go into combat assuming your opponent is less skilled than you are, you can however set up situations in which they are likely to make a mistake. A 'fair fight' is nothing but an illusion, a misdirection, a tool a Shinobi should use to their advantage.

    Beyond his preference for misdirection, the exploitation of which is primarily explained below in his usage of Genjutsu and Ninjutsu look at combat, not as a game of Chess as one might expect and indeed has become exceptionally common, but rather as a game of Go.

    Go is an adversarial game with the objective of surrounding more territory than one's opponent. As the game progresses, the board gets divided up into areas of territory, as outlined by groups of stones. These areas are then contested in local battles, which are often complicated, and may result in the expansion, reduction, or wholesale capture and loss of the contested area. It is often the case that a certain kind of "trade" goes on, where a player's loss in one part of the board can be compensated for or mitigated by a gain in another part of the board. Further, strategy in Go deals with global influence, interaction between distant stones, keeping the whole board in mind during local fights, and other issues that involve the overall game. It is therefore possible to allow a tactical loss when it confers a strategic advantage.

    Whilst the shift of perspective from a Go board to a battle field might be difficult, victory in Go is obviously representative of victory in a battle, where the territory or Global Influence represents the advantage over the opponent. This can be done through sheer amass of skill, terrain advantage, exploiting the weaknesses of your opponent, so on and so forth as long as one person or another holds this advantage. In each combat scenario there exists trades of skill, be them by physical blows, weapons, techniques or 'simple battles of wits, these of course represent the local fights which can easily impact the flow and subsequent victory of combat if one is not mindful. The key point of this philosophy is that it does one little benefit to plan far ahead of your opponent, but rather attempt to accurately control how your opponent can act and as such be able to predict with absolute certainty how they will react and counter against it.

    For Hiroshi this is achieved through the specialized usage of two main skill groups, Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, his attitude, reflections and usage of each as described below.


Ninjutsu:
    Given that it is one of the three primary areas of Shinobi specialization and coupled with the fact that it is one of Hiroshi's two areas of skill focus, it comes with no surprise that he holds an impressive degree of mastery over the art of Ninjutsu. Whilst his humility prohibits him from proclaiming himself as a master or 'God' of the Ninja Arts, his skill should be far from underestimated. Although it is only one of his two focus areas, many might argue that Hiroshi should be perceived as a prodigy in the art. Through the (secretive) usage of his Sharingan, he has nearly perfected the molding and manipulation of his chakra to a degree that allows him to utilize powerful techniques. That being said, Hiroshi is not often a man who prefers to use more grandiose or impressive looking Ninjutsu, perhaps as a result of his inherent humility, as he instead prefers the simple application of his elements to overpower his opponents.

    As one might expect from one of the Uchiha heritage, Hiroshi has an exemplary level of skill with Fire Release Techniques. He is capable of using many styles of technique involving this element, including the rite of passage Great Fireball Technique. Although he attempts to limit the exposure of his greater abilities, he possesses several techniques which through their power depict mastery of said element. Despite his more preference towards more subtle courses of action, the elder Shinobi prefers the usage of Katon for its blunt and powerful application and he utilizes it as his primary form of attack when applying his skill for Ninjutsu.

    His second natural form of Nature Transformation is Fūton or Wind Release which he uses both for its strongly defensive nature, which Katon largely lacks, and it's strong offensive potential. His utilizes his secondary elemental release largely in two primary manners, the first of course is to maintain a defensive distance from his opponent as he lacks a large amount of skill in the physical arts to keep up with someone at close rage. The second of course is to enhance the potential of his Katon techniques to unprecedented levels.


Genjutsu:
    As one might have begun to expect, Hiroshi utilizes Genjutsu in a more supplementary manner as opposed to flaunting his specialization like his predecessor. Although he is not entirely adverse to their usage, he does not prefer to utilize Genjutsu in a more overt manner that might be intended as a means of primary combat, such as creating full blown illusions and scenes for the target to act within. Instead, Hiroshi most often employs more subtle applications of Genjutsu, most often geared towards misdirection and basic levels of confusion, the kind of illusion that are often short in duration and quite difficult to detect, which by extension means they are difficult to escape. That being said, Hiroshi has a rather small selection of Genjutsu to choose from presently, which he uses to primarly create a circumstance from which he can gain an advantage.

Being well versed in genjutsu, that are additionally capable or recognizing any techniques they personally possess.

    Description: A trait possessed by ninja who have trained to improve their ninjutsu ability and acquire rigorous control over their techniques. After much training, the ninja becomes more experienced and exerts more control over the art of Ninjutsu. The potency of their Ninjutsu control means that the cost of each Ninjutsu technique is reduced by 20% (rounded up), as well as recognizing any C-rank and lower Open Ninjutsu.
    Element Proficiency: With an additional training post (600 words), users can gain more control over a particular element as well, reducing the cost of a technique of that element by a total of 25% (Rounded up). Said element may also exhibit a particular, unique aesthetic effect. Does not apply to Advanced Elements.

    Effect: In a manner of homage to both his genetic Uchiha and adopted Nara heritage, Hiroshi's fire is capable of taking on a black color, much like the shadows of the Nara clan or the legendary Amaterasu flames of the Uchiha. Although it offers no more than an aesthetic alteration it does well to both add a degree of stealth to his flames whilst still impacting their level of intimidation.


Mental-Based Special Characteristics:

    Description: The ninja trains their skill in perception and analyzing their environment to more distinct levels. Most physical motions are identified and picked up by the ninja whether its a movement in a leaf or a change in temperature. This skill is handy when faced with Genjutsu as it allows the user to identify the fact they are in an illusion in less time and with less clues than one would otherwise need. However although they can sense the Genjutsu they must rely on other methods of breaking the spell. The ninja also becomes extremely perceptive and observant when it comes to people, being able to pick out mood changes or better understand character. In addition, this skill becomes useful in combat, where the Ninja grows to understand the patterns, habits and the 'rhythm' of the opponent over periods of time.


Social-Based Special Characteristics:

    Description: Many people have vibrant, stunning personalities. Others can be colder than a Yuki's heart. Whatever the case, these people have personalities of such extremes, it even influences their chakra. While giving it no particularly special features, morbid individuals may find their chakra to carry a blackened tinge, carefree and happy ones may be surprised to find they emit a yellow glow, and those who are quick to anger might find a red surprise reminiscent of a Bijuu host.
    Color: Hiroshi's chakra aura is one of rather peculiar effect. Where the chakra aura of others is most often characterized by an outward display of chakra broadcasting a mood, feeling or energy, his acts under entirely different constraints. The Chakra Aura of Hiroshi Tetsuo is characterized not by an outward and overpowering energy, but by the exact opposite. Through the usage of expert chakra control, Hiroshi gives off nothing, to those whom might sense his chakra in this state he appears as a void. Not something that might draw attention, but rather something that would go entirely unnoticed. This should not be confused with suppressing the chakra signature as a Sensor or Stealth based skill, but rather a matter of perception.

Though it is possible to dispel with kai, doing so is difficult without extreme concentration, as the one attempting to dispel will find their hands moving in the opposite directions of how they intend, like trying to position them based on a mirror. This clone will then begin holding them in a physical lock and preventing them from moving or protecting themselves. These bunshin have little physical strength and as such even the weakest of targets is capable of breaking out of them. Once their hold is broken the bunshin will disappear in a puff of smoke which then to the target's surpsise will reform into another clone holding them in another type of lock. This technique continues on for a maximum of ten posts.

    Description: This technique has three stages, each one being an improvement on the former; however when using this jutsu one cannot change which stage is selected. As such, if the B-rank version is picked, the user must stick to this version throughout the genjutsu. This technique basically allows the user to control a certain number of elements to realistic extents inside the genjutsu. Once the target is hypnotized by the user’s focus, the user selects how much chakra to spend and begins the Genjutsu. If C-rank, the user can control one normal or advanced element, able to replicate the visual appearance of the element, as well as the physical feel and sound the element may make. Though powerful for a C-rank, it does not even need to be broken with Kai for the user to break free. Simply disbelieving the technique is enough. If B-rank, the user can control three normal or advanced elements. The same limits apply for B-rank as they do for A-rank. If A-rank, the user can control five normal or advanced elements. Same applies for A-rank as it does the other two ranks. Lasts a maximum of 5 posts. The range of the technique varies depending on the focus used, a visual focus will be within line of sight whilst a sound based focus requires the target(s) to be within 15 meters.

This technique manipulates the senses of sight, hearing and touch of up to five people. Upon activation, a powerful gust will appear to sweep over the target(s), creating winds that would be impossible for regular weather to replicate. The push of these winds becomes so great, it essentially feels as though a black hole is pulling the targets toward its center, while the targets themselves are unable to move their feet. During this post, the targets will begin to feel their very atoms being ripped from their body in an excruciatingly painful manner, again as if a black hole was pulling them in. Should the target fail to release them self from this Genjutsu during their post, they will appear to disintegrate into atom sized pieces, and vanish with the wind. Once the genjutsu ends, the target will be rendered unconscious from the trauma of being ripped apart atom per atom. Genjutsu is only active for one turn, though the ‘death’ of the target can be described in the second post should they fail to break free.

This technique like Jitsuzai will manipulate the perceptions of the target genjutsu which allows the user to create the illusion of damage upon an enemy. Once the genjutsu is initiated, any damage that the user receives will reflect back on the enemy and multiplied to the point that a minor cut would feel much like a stab wound. This effect occurs simultaneously, meaning that when any sort of injury is delivered to the user it will be reflected upon the target at the same time. Being that the technique is an illusion, none of the damage inflicted upon either target is by any means real and thus goes away as soon as the technique has ended either by natural means or by means of interruption, however the the mental pain still remains for the target and as such can intercede with physical endurance. This technique lasts ten posts before ending unless the sequence is halted by the user. Whilst in this technique both the user and the target remain stationary

Upon the technique being activated nothing will change in the target's environment, which in turn gives no clear indication that they are trapped within a Genjutsu. Externally, once they have taken note of the trigger, their body will freeze in whatever position of movement it was in as the trigger took place, all vital functions will remain the same, but the the mentality of the target will be entirely absent for the duration of the technique. Mentally however, those caught within this technique will be entirely unaware of this state and as such think that they are able to move, fight and act with ease. In this sense, this technique is nearly a mastery of Genjutsu as it allows the target to believe that the spar is continuing, whilst in fact both combatants remain entirely stationary. Techniques used by the target in this state cause no damage but remain physically exhaustive. This technique is considered top tier in terms of the illusionary arts as it manipulates every sense possible when needed as well as creating an effect of temporal displacement, making the time within this technique seem far longer than the actual external time. Where minutes or hours may pass within the concept of the technique, externally there will only a sign of seconds or minutes.

Meaning that even if the flames are put out, the projectiles still converge on the target. The flames can be used to cover different projectiles like shuriken or kunai.

If the Katon Bunshin is injured, the clone will revert into a stream of fire that reaches two meters in height before dissipating.

    Description: The user compresses a large amount of chakra built up inside their body and changes it into a dragon-shaped fireball. The user then skillfully manipulates that great fire, and attacks their opponent. Even outside of the attack range, its power and reliability are stressed. The flames have a high temperature, as they can create an upward movement of air currents which in turn can give rise to thunder clouds. A master of this technique can fire off several flames in succession and anyone caught in the technique could be severely burned. No more than 3 extra fireballs may be created.

    Name: Katon: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu - Fire Style: Shadow Clone Technique

    Description: Similar to the traditional Shadow Clone Technique, this jutsu equally divides the user's chakra after the initial chakra cost to produce a single identical clone. The clone is able to perform jutsu on its own and can even sustain a fair amount of damage without dispersing (hits equivalent to A-rank or higher will disperse the clone with a single hit, hits of B-rank and below will stack until the damage is equivalent to that of an A-rank attack). Unlike a typical Kage Bunshin however, this clone disperses with a fiery explosion equal to a B-rank Katon ninjutsu in power. The radius of the blast spans two meters in all directions. The clone can also disperse on its own. The copy will be created in roughly the same condition as the original and any remaining chakra within the clone after it is dispersed is refunded to the user. Clones automatically disperse if their chakra supply reaches zero, but are not influenced by the 10 chakra minimum for survival.

    Description:Gathering a large amount of chakra, the user creates two large, exceedingly dense orbs of fire, one in each hand, casting them up into the air. The fireballs will then arc down, to varying effect depending on how the user manipilates the chakra, yielding one of the following effects;

    1. The two orbs, each the size of a beachball, will simply strike the ground and explode, each explosion covering an area 5 meters in diameter with A-rank flames;
    2. The orbs will split into 2 each, each the size of a basketball, the four flames now striking and covering an area 3m each in B-rank flames;
    3. The orbs split into 4 each, resulting in 8 total, each the size of a skull, each orb impacting and covering an area 1 meter in diameter with C-rank flames.

    It should be noted that the user need not arc the fireballs into the air, being capable of tossing them like softballs. However, doing so puts the user in danger of having the technique go off too close to them, catching them in the crossfire.

    Name: Katon : Kurosekikiri | 火遁・黒積霧 | Fire Release : Black Mist Accumulation Technique

    Description: This technique acts as a vague expansion on the concepts brought forth by two other commonly known techniques. The first of which being Kasumi Enbu and the second being Kirigakure no Jutsu. Through application of the concepts that are used to create Kasumi Enbu and his own aesthetic alterations to his Katon Element, Hiroshi, after making several hand seals will emit a black gas from his mouth that is capable of covering a ten meter radius in front of the user. Much like Kasumi Enbu this mist has no inherent Katon properties without a source of ignition. The gas itself is odor and tasteless, but not difficult to see like Kasumi Enbu its parent technique. Because of the appearance and nature of this technique, prior to ignition it serves a similar purpose to Kirigakure no Jutsu, capable of obscuring the vision of everyone in the field and because of it's chakra infused nature it also obstructs the abilities of sensors and or those with chakra sight such as the Sharningan or Byakugan. The mist saturates the area of placement for a maximum of seven posts, till it has been ignited or until it has been cleared by a wind technique of the appropriate nature and rank. This technique can be ignited by a means of an external detonation, be it another fire technique, an explosive tag, this method can be achieved by the most simple of sparks and as such any C - Rank Lightning Technique will set it off. When ignited the mist does not linger or burn slowly but goes up in a massive amount of concussive force and heat. Because of the sheer size and power of this technique there are specified ranges of efficacy listed below where the 0m implies immediate contact with the maximum possible area of effect [15m].
    0m | Anyone inside the mist at the time of detonation will likely be killed as the concussive force resulting from detonation coupled with the intense heat of the flames is enough to break and bones and will likely result in both internal [as a result of inhaling the mist] and external third degree burns.
    1m | The heat and concussive force is able to remove limbs, destroy bones, destroy organs, take head off and kill if struck anywhere besides forearm and calf.
    2m | Near lethal, able to shatter bones, ruptures organs, can remove head, and able to remove limbs if struck at key joints (ie. shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, etc.). Along with knock back, concussion, bone cracking and minor organ damage between a meter and two meters, decreasing in danger the further away.
    3m | Knock back, skin tearing and second degree burns.
    4m-5m|First Degree Burns and Knocked back.

    Description: By kneading chakra through the usage of three hand seals, (Monkey Dragon Tiger) the user will charge their mouth with superheated chakra and blow it through the tiger seal relying on shape transformation to dictate it into the shape of a raging oriental dragon which is roughly nine meters in height, which is then capable of extending out ward to a maximum of ten meters. This technique has two primary uses, the first is surpsingly as a means of defence, the heat of this technique creating enough pressure in the nearby area to deflect or neutralize attacks of all but the suiton elements. The second of couse is its offensive application, the dragon gives off an immense level of heat capable of delivering first degree burns on near proximity and additionally it will attempt to bite anyone that the user desires within the ten meter range of the technique. Those bitten will be consumed by the flames and experence severe third degree burns. The preparation for the jutsu can be held for only three additional posts after activation

    Description: This jutsu is similar to Chidori in that the technique uses a similar form of mechanic in its creation. After completing two simple hand seals the user will begin by extending a flow of chakra through and just beyond the hand. Using a tremendous amount of nature alteration the chakra rapidly superheated after which through spacial alteration the user condense the flames to keep the technique from rapidly expanding. With this, the user only appears to be releasing chakra from their hand. Even skilled ninjutsu opponents will not be able to tell the nature of this technique because of its minimalisic appearance appearance, and the fact that they are flames only becomes obvious then the user has closed in on their opponent. Unlike its intial inspiration, Chirodi, the cutting power of this technique is entirely fake, instead, rather than cutting it burns a hole through through anything it touches. It's designed mainly for use against living organisms since the burnt flesh becomes difficult or impossible to heal, but is also capable of burning through substances of equal rank, with the exception of suiton techniques.

    Description: To begin this technique the user must create three primary hand seals, snake, tiger and monkey. By releasing a massive amount of nature alterated chakra from his body, the user forces a large amount of fire around him which expands rapidly outwards from his position. The power of the technique allows him to root up items or even people that are not secured properly and burn the surrounding area to ashes. The technique spans out quickly for ten meters and pushes the hot air around it for another five meters . Essentially the technique becomes a controlled "explosion" with a shock wave which can make the distance longer than it seems. Anything in range will either be burned or withered up and dry out, along with skin and such. It's main function is obviously to destroy and burn, and individuals in direct contact with this technique will suffer third degree burns and broken bones from the concussive force. Those within the five meter blast of hot air will be knocked back and suffer second degree burns.

    Description: This technique is a direct derivative of Nenshō Tenohira. After preforming the single hand seal required, the the user will begin by extending a flow of chakra through and just beyond the hand. Using a tremendous amount of nature alteration the chakra rapidly superheated after which through spacial alteration the user condense the flames to keep the technique from rapidly expanding. Through a further degree of spacial alteration the user extends the compressed chakra to a four foot long blade extending from the hand. The blade is the same width as the hand of the user and in order to keep this technique in function the user must keep said hand open with the fingers extended towards the tip of the blade. Following the same logistics of Nenshō Tenohira the cutting nature of this 'blade' is an illusion it merely burns through any substance of equal or lesser rank on impact [with the obvious exception of water releases techniques]. When this technique comes in contact with flesh it inflicts immediate fourth degree burns on impact as well as being able to 'cut' through the flesh. Injuries sustained from this technique do not bleed as they a cauterized with the fourth degree burns.

    Description: Focused on the very the basic concepts of all Nijutsu, it is through almost pure use or Nature Transformation and only meager amounts of shape manipulations that this technique, a derivative of Gōkakyū no jutsu, gets its power. Using the Great Fire Ball Technique as the basis, the user expels a massive amount of chakra into the jutsu to drastically increase the size of the fireball created by its parent technique. With so much chakra pumped into the basic technique, it becomes massive on a proportion and scales to a level that reaches the pinnacle of fire manipulation. Measuring a maximum circumference of 125m | 25m in diameter | 12.5m in Radius, the Gōkakyū at S Rank is an equivalent of the normal one multiplied by seven times over, owning up to it's massive side. Using a modicum of shape transformation allows this technique to be stretched to reach a distance of 50 meters, which when coupled with it's destructive force is capable of destroying buildings and forest with ease. As an S rank technique, the flames from this technique are hot enough to burn bone and is capable of melting E-rank weaponry. It's size and heat make it nearly impossible to put out by normal means and as such it can only be done by an A - rank water technique of an equivelent size. Much like it's parent technique, Shin Gōkakyū is capable of delivering sizeable concussive force with it's creation, leaving an impact crater of the same diameter dimensions and roughly five meters deep in the ground or in any surface that it does not break on contact . Because of the sheer size and power of this technique there are specified ranges of efficacy listed below where the 0m implies immediate contact with the maximum possible diameter [25m].
    0m | Will likely obliterate the body without appropriate resistances.
    5m | Delivers 4th degree burns to the areas of contact, severe dehydration from the immense heat, the concussive force is capable of shattering most bones in the body.
    10m | Able to feel the heat, but causes no physical damage beyond possible singed hairs and dehydration if you stand within the this range of the technique for more than four posts.

    Description::Kūhaku Ōda is a ninjutsu technique that relies on the usage of focused burst of wind natured chakra. By creating the needed hand three hand seals, the user will begin to manipulate a large amount of chakra in their hand by means of a compressive form of shape transformation and is then inducted with the wind element. This technique forms a night invisible form of highly pressurized wind which can then be launched simply by waving the arm away from the body. The technique losses form after a maximum distance of ten meters. Upon contact with any solid surface, the wind, which has been pressurized to the highest limit will result in an extreme amount of concussive force which delivers itself by sheer means of blunt force impact. This impact is enough to crush any bones within the torso as if they were hit by a battering ram. Those within five meters of the initial point of impact will simply be knocked back.

    Description: This technique could perhaps be looked at as a more advanced derivative of Shinkūgyoku - Vacuum Sphere. This technique is began by inhaling a lungful of air whilst making the two required hand seals. With the application of both spacial and nature alteration the user will expel five small bursts of air from their mouth, one at a time. Each of these small bursts take the shape of a small rotating tube, pressurized and spun to the extent that they are capable of ripping through their target with no issue. The impact damage that this technique creates is minor similar to the bullet hole caused by a sniper shot and is not lethal unless struck in minor areas.

    Description: This jutsu is developed and trained within Kirigakure as a village specific jutsu. After forming the needed hand seal, the user will place their hand over their head and cause a large amount of mist to gather. This mist is extremely difficult to see through from someone not of Kirigakure, who are used to looking through heavy mists, and are more able to do combat while within said mist. The jutsu involves kneading chakra into the mist, allowing the user to create extremely thick or thin levels of mist. Those with doujutsu or chakra sensing techniques are also able to see through this thick mist but without any aid, then you'll be blind within the mist. A C-Rank Fuuton Jutsu can dispel the mists.
